It’s due when??? Use a homework manager

Photo by Darren HesterHere’s a homework manager for students with a Mac. It’s called SchoolHouse 2, tracks everything for you and is free. Trackable are your reading, projects, papers, and grades (which can be calculated). As the site puts it, this way you’ll have no surprises at the end of the quarter/semester. You can look at everything due a week from Friday or every due date for a particular class.

I’ll be searching for a similar application for PC users. Stay tuned.

Please be sure you’re backing up your hard drive or printing out the information daily. The only thing worse than dogs eating homework is the fact that hard drives crash!

I find it effective to use the Cornell method along with an outline in its ‘note-taking area.’ Whatever method you choose, make sure it works for you. Good notes allow for quick review of a lot of information.

Sorry you’re late? Not true!

Published by Simon under productivity & organization, self

Photo by Clyde Robinson“Sorry I’m late.” If you are a person who is always late, there is help for you and for the others who are waiting on you to arrive. Busy people manage to arrive early or on time. They plan ahead to arrive on time. That usually means leaving early enough to allow extra time for those red lights, rush hour traffic, and other emergencies. On extremely rare occasions, there may be a major traffic accident or you may be in one of the accidents.

I’m not always late — just sometimes, you say? Here’s a little test:
