264245_whats_that.jpgYour office is flooded, your files/photographs/documents are lost, and the words come back to haunt you: “When is the last time you backed up?” Lost documents, viruses, the ‘read error’ message regarding your hard drive. And it always seems to happen right before an important project is due. Here is an option that requires virtually zero maintenance by you and better yet, it is free (up to 2GB).

See pricing for other options below.I have used Mozy’s online backup service for the last year. I have also used it to restore entire folders / directories. I logged into my account, clicked on the files and folders I wanted to restore. About 30 minutes later I received an email message that my ‘restore’ was ready to be downloaded. I simply downloaded the folders to the new hard drive and was finished. Should one need an extremely large restoration, such as an entire hard drive, Mozy will send the CD’s via Federal Express.

Unlimited Mozy backup: no restrictions, unlimited space, backup your entire hard drive for disasters, crashes or hard drive replacement. Only $4.95 per month.

Free MozyHome backup. 2GB limit

Mozy Pro backup for businesses: HIPAA compliant and $3.95 per month (per computer) plus $0.50/GB.
